The house is in a cleared area in the northeast corner of the property. The valley (with the pond) runs north-south the length of the west side, and takes up about a third of the 5 acres. A wooded area with many mature cedar trees runs north-south through the center of the property, and the length of the east edge consists mostly of alders.
